Midas is back, and his golden touch has even affected the map's Vending Machines! Now, alongside the old-fashioned weapon and health-dispensing machines, you can find Midas Vending Machines in Fortnite.
This primer outlines where to find the game's new Vending Machines so you can complete the Rise of Midas quests, as well as what makes them unique compared to the regular ones.
Where to find Midas Vending Machines
There are 29 locations across the Island where Midas Vending Machines can potentially appear in a match of Fortnite. These limited-time Vending Machines won't spawn every match, though. To find one, you must visit spots where they can materialise and hope for a chance encounter!
Interestingly, Midas Vending Machines don't exist in the new areas occupied by the Olympian Gods. The north-west portion of the map around The Underworld and Grim Gate and the south-east section around Mount Olympus and Brawler's Battleground are essentially vacant of Midas Vending Machines. You can run into them pretty much everywhere else, though.
Your best bet is to venture to Reckless Railways. There are three different locations where they can pop up here, and if you get unlucky, there are plenty of other spawn points in close vicinity!
What's special about Midas Vending Machines?
The selection at Midas Vending Machines is quite limited when compared to regular ones. You'll have the choice between purchasing a Ranger Pistol or a Drum Gun. The price will vary depending on the rarity, but make sure you have at least a couple hundred Gold Bars before shopping!
So, if you have an affinity for the Drum Gun or the Ranger Pistol, you'll find no shortage of these weapons in Fortnite, at least for the time being, thanks to the inclusion of Midas Vending Machines.
There's no guarantee you'll find one in any given match, but if you stay away from the northwest and southeast corners of the Island and check as many of the spawn points as possible, you'll eventually discover one.
