Pod Plants are new to Fortnite, so not everyone's familiar with how these flora work or where to find Pod Plants. With that, let's review all things Pod Plant, including how to damage an opponent with it in the game.
How to damage an opponent with a Pod Plant
Even if you know where to find Pod Plants, it can be difficult to use one to damage an opponent.
The only Pod Plants that deal damage are the Bomb Flower and the Stink Flower. To trigger a Pod Plant, you must hit it with a bullet or your Pickaxe. But there's a delay before they erupt, and no one's going to sit around and let one blow up beside them intentionally.
The easiest way to damage an opponent with a Pod Plant in Fortnite is to pick on a downed foe. Grab a friend or a few, and play Duos, Trios, or Squads. Begin your match in the Jungle Biome and search for a target.
To complete this Seasonal Quest, you'll want to get your hands on a defenseless opponent. Use anything in your arsenal to knock the first enemy you come across. With your opponent down and out, lift them over your shoulders and carry them to a nearby Pod Plant.
Drop the enemy next to a Bomb Flower or a Stink Flower and immediately shoot at it. After a moment, it will go off. And since your opponent is downed and can only crawl away at a snail's pace, they won't be able to escape the explosion radius.
This Fortnite challenge can certainly cause some frustration, but with this strategy, you should be able to pull it off in one or two attempts.
What are Pod Plants in Fortnite?
New to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, Pod Plants are vegetation with innate powers. There are four types of Pod Plants in the game right now, but who knows if additional species will appear in the future. The Pod Plants available in Fortnite consist of the following:
- Bomb Flower
- Stink Flower
- Slurp Plants
- Hop Flowers
The names of these flora offer hints as to what they do. Mess with Bomb Flowers, and they will explode. Stink Flowers, however, emit an awful odor. Not all Pod Plants will harm you, as Slurp Plants discharge Slurp and Hop Flowers will boost you to new heights and imbue users with immunity to fall damage.
Where to find Pod Plants in Fortnite
Pod Plants are exclusive to the new Jungle Biome. These flowers cannot survive in any other habitat.
Thankfully, once inside the Jungle Biome, you should not have to look far to find Pod Plants. There are hundreds of Pod Plants across the Jungle Biome.
