It wouldn’t be a new season of Fortnite without an array of new challenges for players to dive into. Chapter 4 Season 2 has not only introduced new changes to the map, weapons, and gameplay mechanics but also a new set of quests to dive into.
While not quite as intricate as the Cipher quests from last season, Chapter 4 Season 2 sees the introduction of Syndicate missions. This task you to explore the map and complete various objectives. One that is causing a few headaches is to “restore data receivers” in Fortnite. Luckily, it’s not super challenging, and a nudge in the right direction should place you on the right path.
How do you restore data receivers?
For this challenge, you’ll need to restore two different data receivers across the map. There are three to find, and luckily, isn’t that tricky to complete. The main problem you’re going to face is fending off other players who are also wanting to complete the challenge.
You can see the locations in the map above, but if you want further directions, the data receivers can be found in these three locations:
- East of Mega City
- North of Mega City
- East of Anvil Square
Once you approach the above locations, you should notice an exclamation mark on your mini-map which determines its exact locale. At this point, venture towards it and interact with the data receiver.
For this, the two closest are the ones around the surrounding areas of Mega City. You’ll find most players will be battling it out in the main area, so you should be pretty clear tracking down both of these data receivers.
Once you have found and interacted with two, this part of the quest will be completed, and you can advance forward with the next Syndicate challenge in Fortnite.
