It’s another week, and you know what that means? Another set of Fortnite challenges has dropped that ask you to think outside the box in exchange for some sweet XP rewards. But as always, one or two of the quests may demand a little more out of the player.
If you want to know how you can search chests with the Falcon Scout, then you’ve come to the right place.
How do you search chests with the Falcon Scout
Firstly, you are going to need a Falcon Scout, which can be a challenge in itself. While it’s entirely possible to find a Falcon Scout spawn anywhere, you’re more likely to have luck scouring for Oathbound chests.
These can be found in a few named locations, such as The Citadel, Shattered Slabs, and Faulty Splits. Simply venture around these zones and look out for large silver chests, in the hopes that one will grant you a Falcon Scout.
With the Falcon Scout in hand, simply deploy it how you would any other item. Once it’s in the air, you can scan the area using the corresponding button on the screen, and it will highlight not only nearby enemies but chests you can search in the surrounding area.
With the locations marked, fly over to the chest as the Falcon Scout and search it. This will complete the first stage of the challenge, but in order to complete it, you will need to search five chests with the Falcon Scout. Once done, your quest will be marked as complete and you’ll be rewarded a nice XP reward for your efforts.
