The Seven need to gather information on the Imagined Order (IO), and Wiretaps are the perfect tool for the job in Fortnite. One of the major Week 5 Resistance Quests of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 tasks us with the job of planting Wiretaps for The Seven.

How to plant wiretaps to monitor IO Communications
As is the case with similar Resistance Quests like Fortnite Anti-Tank Rounds, planting Wiretaps is easy once you know where you need to set them up. Approach the translucent Wiretap outline and interact with it to plant the Wiretap.
All in all, there are three different locations where you need to plant Wiretaps. The Wiretap sites are spread out across a few different Fortnite points of interest (POIs) and landmarks, so this challenge will involve some travel.
Where to plant wiretaps to monitor IO Communications
The Resistance wants three Wiretaps planted in and around different IO strongholds. Specifically, we must plant Fortnite Wiretaps at Command Cavern, The Fortress, and Dispatch Depot.
Head to the IO's main base of operations, Command Cavern. The site to plant the Wiretap is above ground on the western mountainside of Fortnite Pinnacle Peak, next to a red and white radio tower and some IO equipment. Plant the Wiretap and get out before the Imagined Order suspects anything.
You'll need to plant another Wiretap beside the ramp leading into the front of The Fortress drill. But watch out, Doctor Slone herself patrols this location. Plant the Wiretap under Doctor Slone's nose without raising any alarms.
The last Fortnite Wiretap is designated for Dispatch Depot. Dispatch Depot is an IO-controlled landmark on the south-east coast of Loot Lake. You'll see a spot to plant a Wiretap along the outside east-facing wall of the main depot building.
With all three Wiretaps in place, The Resistance should be able to gather all the intel they need to foil the IO's plans. For your efforts, you'll be awarded 23k XP toward your Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass and Season Level. Also, you can now progress through the rest of the Week 5 Resistance Quests.
How to get the quest to plant wiretaps to monitor IO Communications
The quest to plant Wiretaps to monitor IO communications shows up early on in the Week 5 Resistance Quest series. To unlock the quest, you must have completed Weeks 1-4 of the Resistance Quests and established a Fortnite Device Uplink at Command Cavern, The Fortress, or Loot Lake.
