Fortnite wolf locations are few and far between in Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 8. These once plentiful predators are so rare now, that some Fortnite players didn’t even know they still existed. However, wolves are still out there, and this guide will cover all Fortnite wolf locations, where to find wolves, and how to hunt a wolf in Fortnite.

Where can you find wolves in Fortnite?

The apex predators from Chapter 2 - Season 6 have made the Fortnite island their home once again in Season 8. Nowadays, wolves are a much rarer sight than back in the primal season, but these creatures are still around. Here are all the locations where players can find wolves in Fortnite:

  • Both inside and outside the walls of Stealthy Stronghold
  • At FN Radio, east of Craggy Cliffs
  • Just south of Believer Beach
  • Along the road west of Boney Burbs
  • Around Lake Canoe, south-west of Dirty Docks
  • All throughout Weeping Woods
  • Around Primal Pond, west of Defiant Dish and south of The Aftermath
  • Across the river west of Lazy Lake
  • North-east of Catty Corner
  • Along the road west of Misty Meadows
  • At Destined Dish, south of Misty Meadows

Out of all of these Fortnite wolf locations, a few stand out as the best places to find wolves in Fortnite. Stealthy Stronghold, Weeping Woods, north-east of Catty Corner, and west of Misty Meadows all have the chance to spawn multiple Fortnite wolf packs.

It’s important to note that wolves tend to roam, meaning that they never stay in one place too long and you’ll probably never catch them in the exact same location twice. This list consists of general areas where Fortnite wolves spawn. While not common, it’s entirely possible to find a pack of wolves roaming in a location not listed or just a stray wolf pack a ways away from an established wolf spawn point. Additionally, a pack of wolves will not spawn at every location listed in every match.

How to hunt a wolf

Now that you know where wolves spawn in Fortnite, it’s time to hunt a wolf. The Grim Fable non-player character (NPC) resides in Wasted Woods, the crash site west of Weeping Woods. Players who speak with Grim Fable will be assigned the Grim Fable Wolf Activity punchcard questline. One of the quests in the series asks players to hunt a wolf.

Fortnite wolves hunt in packs, so hunting one means you are hunting a whole group. Angry wolves are vicious and can deal a surprising amount of damage in rapid succession. Make sure to equip yourself with plenty of ammo and shields before engaging with a pack of wolves.

It’s possible to make the hunt a bit easier through the use of some tried and true hunting secrets we learned in the primal season. We know that meat will distract and lure a wolf, making it an easy target. Even better, players can craft a Hunter’s Cloak by combining meat and bones. Players dawning a Hunter’s Cloak become invisible to all wildlife. Wolves will ignore players wearing a Hunter’s Cloak completely.

Whether you’re an aggressive hunter armed with tons of firepower or a sneaky one that prefers the Hunter’s Cloak, Fortnite players must eliminate one wolf to satisfy this stage of the Grim Fable Wolf Activity punchcard questline.

That wraps up our guide on Fortnite wolf locations. Take a visit to one of the Fortnite wolf locations and hunt a wolf to complete stage four of Grim Fable’s character punchcard questline.
