A Fortnite x Destiny 2 crossover isn't something many people had on their 2022 bingo cards, yet here we are. Thanks to some reportedly leaked promotional key art on Twitter, we've got a look at three Fortnite-inspired armour sets coming to Destiny 2 as a part of a crossover with Epic's gaming juggernaut. Destiny and Fortnite isn't a pairing you would expect to work, and yet the new crossover armour sets are arguably some of the nicest we've seen in Destiny 2's history. Here's everything we know about the Fortnite x Destiny 2 crossover so far.

Fortnite x Destiny 2 Crossover Armor

We don't know too much about the crossover beyond what the armour looks like, but we can speculate based on past events. Although, it's worth noting that Destiny has never had any sort of crossover promotion even remotely close to this scale. Up until now, it's primarily been a contained universe, so it's possible that these armours won't follow the traditional Bungie Eververse model.

Destiny fashion is very subjective and deeper than you might expect. There's everything from dedicated fashion discords to players who comb through the game in order to find Destiny 2 RGB shaders. So, there are high hopes for any new cosmetics that Bungie release into the wild. Despite that, the general community response to the Fortnite x Destiny armour sets has been particularly positive. Even players who dislike Fortnite have been praising Bungie for the armour designs.

The Fortnite inspiration behind each set is obvious:

  • The Titan armour set is based on the Black Knight skin.
  • The Warlock armour set is based on the Drift skin.
  • The Hunter armour set is based on the Oblivion skin.

Based on previous premium armour ornament sets, we can expect the Fortnite Destiny ornaments to make their debut in the Eververse store. The pricing is a little different to usual with each set will costing players around $20. However, these sets are currently discounted at 25% off, making them available for $15 each.

Just like usual, these armour sets will be sold in the Eververse store. It's entirely possible, albeit unlikely, that they will be a part of a larger in-game tie-in with Fortnite. Again, Destiny 2 has never had a crossover of this scale, so there's no precedent to base predictions off of.

Bungie's Destiny 2 2022 showcase is right around the corner, so it's not unreasonable to assume we'll be hearing more about the Fortnite Destiny crossover sometime soon. Once we do, you'll find all the new information here.
