What better way to send off Chapter 2 than with a Fortnite X Jordan crossover collab? Fortnite is no stranger to collaborating with fashion brands, as seen by the recent crossovers with Balenciaga and Moncler. With Chapter 2's closing season winding down, an upcoming Fortnite X Jordan collab may be the final crossover event before we dive into Fortnite Chapter 3.
Fortnite X Jordan Crossover Collab: Overview
Anyone that's been around Fortnite for a while will know that this is the second crossover event between Fortnite and the Jordan brand. These two properties first collaborated back in May 2019 to promote the release of the “Defiant 1” Air Jordan 1 collection. The original collab introduced the Hang Time Set and the Downtown Drop limited-time mode.
This year's event seems to follow a similar structure and format to the original Fortnite x Jordan crossover. This time, we'll be celebrating the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” colourway launch. Fortnite players can expect to find an Item Shop loaded with Jordan-themed cosmetics and the opportunity to participate in a special Creative map and earn some exclusive free rewards.
Without further ado, let's dive into all the juicy details relating to the Fortnite X Jordan crossover collab.
Fortnite X Jordan Crossover Collab: Release Date
According to leaks, the Fortnite x Jordan event will be officially announced Wednesday, December 1. The event will go live the same day, with all of the paid cosmetics set to appear in the Item Shop at 7 P.M. EST (12 A.M. GMT).
Fortnite X Jordan Crossover Collab: All Cosmetics
The Fortnite x Jordan collaboration includes the following list of Jordan-themed cosmetics:
- Hangtime Outfit (comes with Playmaker and MVP Outfit variants)
- Swish Outfit (comes with Crossover and Downtown Outfit variants)
- Air Jordan II “Cool Grey” Back Bling
- Dunk Emote
So in total, the Fortnite x Jordan crossover will feature two skins, a Back Bling, and an emote.
As for pricing, the skin bundle will likely set you back 1,800 V-Bucks. This was the price of the skin bundle back in the 2019 Fortnite x Jordan collab. The Back Bling and emote will probably be sold separately or in another bundle for a few hundred extra V-Bucks.
Fortnite X Jordan Crossover Collab: Jumpman Zone Creative Map
Outside of the cosmetics, the main draw of the Fortnite x Jordan crossover collab is the Jumpman Zone. The Jumpman Zone is a Creative map dedicated to Jordan Brand and the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” sneaker. In the Jumpman Zone, Fortnite players can go on a scavenger hunt for Air Jordan 11 "Cool Grey" artefacts and complete Trickshot challenges for free rewards.
Free rewards you say? Every once in a while, Fortnite will introduce an event that gives frugal players an opportunity to earn free Fortnite skins and other cosmetic rewards. The last Fortnite x Jordan collaboration featured the Downtown Drop challenges. Completing this series of challenges would unlock the Back Board Back Bling and its additional styles, along with four exclusive sprays.
For now, the only free reward that is 100% confirmed is a black and white spray depicting a basketball. However, there will almost certainly be a few other free rewards to earn through the Trickshot challenges.
The Fortnite x Jordan crossover collab will likely only run until the Fortnite The End event on Saturday, December 4. So, make sure to purchase anything you like from the Item Shop and grab your free rewards from the Trickshot challenges before they disappear forever.
