The Island underwent some major renovations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, including alterations to the Fortnite zipline locations. Nothing stays the same from season to season in Fortnite, so it's important to get familiar with the changes to stay ahead of the competition. With that said, let's overview the Fortnite zipline locations in Chapter 3 Season 3.

Where are Ziplines in Fornite Chapter 3 Season 3?

The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 zipline locations aren't as bunched together as they've been in previous seasons. For example, there are no real zipline hotspots like the Windbreakers and Power Towers landmarks from Season 1 and 2 that feature a dozen-plus ziplines all in one small area. Instead, the ziplines nowadays are scattered more evenly across the Island.

Loot Lake

Chapter 3 Season 3 transformed Loot Lake into party central. Loot Lake is located smack dab in the middle of the Island. Alongside the many boats and Launchpads at the location, Loot Lake sports six ziplines total.

Impossible Rock

Despite the story-defining happenings of the Fortnite Collision Live Event, Impossible Rock remains largely unchanged in Chapter 3 Season 3. Impossible Rock is a landmark located west of Condo Canyon and north of Chonker's Speedway. Across the rock formations of this scenic area are six Fortnite ziplines.

While Loot Lake and Impossible Rock are the two primary hotbeds for ziplines in Chapter 3 Season 3, the following locations feature at least one or two ziplines of their own:

  • Leafy Reef
  • Fungi Farm
  • Peril Pass
  • Shroom Chalet / Seven Outpost V
  • The Daily Bugle
  • Fisher's Paradise
  • Seven II / Choppin' Chateau
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Cuddle Cruisers
  • The Joneses
  • The Devoured

And finally, every once in a while, you'll come across ziplines out in a completely remote location, such as the lone zipline south of Fortnite Tilted Towers or the pack of ziplines south of Reality Falls.

How to use Ziplines in Fortnite

To use a zipline, simply approach the zipline and interact with it to hook on. You can use a zipline in either direction, plus shoot, use items, and build while attached to the zipline. Note that fall damage is negated when detaching from a zipline, so feel free to dismount at any time!

Where to use a Baller, Zipline, and Geyser in a single match

One of the Week 6 Seasonal Quests tasks players with using a Baller, a zipline, and a geyser in a single match. To pull this off, you'll need to plan a route around not only the Fortnite zipline locations but the Fortnite Baller locations and Fortnite geyser locations as well.

While ziplines are prevalent almost everywhere on the Island, Ballers and geysers are restricted to select spots. Ballers spawn in Rave Cave exclusively, while geysers are a natural phenomenon that only exists in the Reality Bloom Biome.

With these facts in mind, you'll want to target the zipline at Pearl Pass for this Challenge. Pearl Pass features seven geysers and it's only a short distance from Rave Cave. Grab a Baller at Rave Cave and roll on down to Pearl Pass to find a zipline and some geysers side-by-side. Use all three of these movement enhancers in a single match to net 15K XP toward your Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass and Season Level.

How to use the grapple glove to catch a Zipline while airborne

Another Week 6 zipline-themed Seasonal Quest assigns players the unique mission of using the Grapple Glove to catch a zipline while airborne.

Before we begin, you'll need to get a set of Fortnite Grapple Gloves from one of the Grapple Stops situated around the Island. Thankfully, a few of these Grapple Stops are set up right next to Fortnite ziplines.

Fungi Farm, Seven Outpost II, Shifty Shafts, and The Devoured all have both Grapple Stops and ziplines in their close vicinity. Grab a pair of Grapple Gloves at any of the locations mentioned above and use them to swing up to a zipline and attach to it mid-air. If successful, you'll earn a bundle of 15K XP as a reward.

That's everything you need to know about Fortnite zipline locations in Chapter 3 Season 3. Use ziplines to swiftly traverse the Island and complete a variety of zipline-themed Quests and Challenges.
