Genshin Impact Core Propulsion: How To Complete The Toymaking Quest

Core Propulsions are components needed to complete the 'A-Toymaking We Shall Go' quest in the Genshin Impact 'Core of the Apparatus' Event. To do this, you'll have to travel throughout Teyvat in Genshin Impact and defeat various enemies. For more information on how to complete the quests and find the Core Propulsions, read on.

Genshin Impact Core Propulsion: How To Activate The Quest
The prerequisites for picking up the event are to have completed the Ritou Escape Plan part of Chapter 2: Act 1 Archon Quest and the Chisato's Letter World Quest. To start the event, talk first to Katheryne at the Adventurer's Guild. She will direct you to the NPC Bertrand, located up the steps from the Teleport Waypoint in Ritou, Narukami Island, Inazuma.
Bertrand will explain his predicament of having his toys confiscated after a health and safety issue with them. He'll give you a Material Collector gadget and instruct you to gather some materials to help him keep his toy-making project going.

Genshin Impact: How To Collect Core Propulsion Pieces
Core Propulsion is the second quest out of three for this event. It will require the player to defeat three Slimes, two Specters and a Hypostasis for Core Propulsion drops.
Genshin Impact: Slime Locations
These are common enemies found throughout Teyvat. A good place to farm Slimes in Mondstadt is along the road that intersects Starfell Valley and along the Windwail Highland roads. In Liyue, good Slime farming spots include the east-facing cliff above the Sea of Clouds and at Jueyun Karst.
Genshin Impact: Specter Locations
Specters are elemental enemies found commonly along the shorelines of the islands of Seirai and Watatsumi, in the Inazuma region.

Genshin Impact: Hypostasis Locations
These are elemental enemies that take the form of square blocks, with vulnerable cores.

Genshin Impact: Core Propulsion Rewards
Make sure your Material Collector is equipped before starting the quest.
After completing this part of the quest, you'll get the chance to make your first robot creation. Other rewards include 20,000 Mora, Hero's Wit x2 and Mystic Enhancement Ore x4.
