In Genshin Impact, a Valberry is a forage item found on a specific type of flower, used in a variety of alchemy recipes, and as an upgrade material for some character’s ascension levels. Four Genshin Impact Valberries can be harvested from one flower at a time.
The flower only grows in one corner of the Mondstadt region but despite this, further into the game, it is possible to farm Valberries with the gardening mechanic. To find out where to find Valberries, how to farm them, and which characters need them for ascension levels, read on.

Where are the Valberries in Genshin Impact?
Valberries are only local to Mondstadt, where they grow in the wild regions of the Stormbearer Mountains and Stormbearer Point. Once picked from a flower, Valberries respawn after two days. Above, the locations where Valberrry spawn is marked with a clover sign on the map.
Other than the Stormbearer region of Mondstadt, Valberries can also be purchased from NPC merchant Chloris, who charges 1,000 Mora per Valberry, of which she has five to sell. Her shop restocks every three days, and she can be found in Mondstadt's Windrise area. She travels around this area, so it may take a bit of tracking down to find her. If you’re struggling to find her, she is often near the main road that runs from Mondstadt, through the Windrise area.
All the uses for Valberries
The Valberry’s main use is to make Red Dye, which is used in over 70 crafting recipes for furniture. So, if you’re looking to customize your Serenitea Pot, Red Dye is a key component of this. The Serenitea Pot is given to players after unlocking the corresponding quest ‘A Teapot To Call Home’ at Adventurer Rank 28 and gives the players a chance to customize their own lodgings.
Valberries are also used as an ascension material for the following characters;
- Lisa
- Noelle
- Rosaria

How to farm Valberries
Valberries can be gardened in Jade Fields if you wish to cultivate your own without having to revisit the spawn locations. To do so, you must first unlock the Gardening mechanic by completing the quest mentioned above and unlock the Serenitea Pot. ‘A Path of Value: Jade Field’ is the name of an item you can buy, (classified as an outdoor furnishing) which is essentially a plot of soil where you can plant vegetables and flowers.
The Valberries you grow will have the same respawn rate as those in the wild but will save you from traveling back and forth over Mondstadt. Furnishings are bought from Tubby at the Realm Depot, where Valberry seeds can also be purchased. Alternatively, you can make Valberry seeds from already harvested Valberries by equipping a Seed Dispensary gadget to your character.
