How to beat Dismantler in Ghostrunner 2
Make sure you know the best Ghostrunner 2 Dismantler boss strategy, so you know how to defeat the late-game boss during your playthrough.
Figuring out the Ghostrunner 2 Dismantler strategy so you can beat this boss is quite hard, as they have three different health bars to worry about and various powerful attacks that can throw you right back the beginning.
The Ghostrunner 2 bosses force you to pull out all the tricks, mechanics, and moves you'll have learned throughout the game to test your skills. While these fights are tough, there are ways to make them easier, and I've spent time figuring out the best strategies to employ when playing.
So, if you need the lowdown for facing off with the Dismantler boss in Ghostrunner 2, we've got you covered with what it takes to beat them.
How to defeat Dismantler in Ghostrunner 2
To defeat the Dismantler in Ghostrunner 2, you'll need to deplete the green health bar so it can no longer heal, allowing you to fight it until the blue and red health bars also reach zero.
As a late-game boss, it's much tougher than the encounters that come before, but if you've been picking up all the skills expected of a ghostrunner throughout the game, you should be well-equipped to take it down.
The Dismantler doesn't have clear-cut phases like some other bosses, but meeting specific criteria during the fight will trigger certain actions you can take advantage of to kill it. It also has three health bars which correspond to different modes the boss can enter. These are:
- Red bar - Melee mode
- Blue bar - Ranged mode
- Green bar - Healing mode
Red bar
For the start of the fight, the Dismantler will be in melee mode. During this, it will keep dashing toward you to try and hit you with its scythe.
I found the best way to deal with it in this mode is by blocking as it attacks. This parries the attack and deals massive damage to the Dismantler's red bar, and the timing is much easier than you'd expect, making it the most consistently easy way of damaging it.
Make sure you're back is facing a wall during this though, as if you just block the attack, you'll be launched backwards and risk falling off the map.

Blue bar
After you deal some damage while the Dismantler is in melee mode, it will jump into a corner of the arena and enter ranged mode. When you're far away, it will fire rockets into the air that land nearby, so you need to get in melee range as quickly as possible.
When you get close, the Dismantler will use a stomp attack that pushes you back, and then pull out a close-range machine gun. After the stomp, just dash back toward it, and strafe to the right as you keep attacking the Dismantler.
It only fires the machine gun with its right hand, moving the gun to its own left, so you can keep avoiding the attack by moving to the right.
After you lower its blue health bar a little in this mode, it will either return to melee mode or healing mode.
Green bar
If the Dismantler turns green, then it will enter healing mode and jump far away from you again. Every time it enters healing mode, it will hunker down with a shield around it, and summon some green pillars which syphon health from normal enemies to give it back to the Dismantler.
The number of pillars will increase by one each time it enters healing mode. It went into the mode three times during my fight with it, so you'll likely need to complete the following process three times. You also get a checkpoint when it enters healing mode.
After the Dismantler goes into healing mode, approach the pillars and defeat the enemies around it. This will lower the shield on the pillar, letting you destroy it. Destroy all the active pillars to stop the Dismantler from healing.
After it stops healing, it will then enter into melee or ranged mode again, so you will need to repeat the relevant steps from the above sections until you deplete all three bars and defeat it once and for all.
That's all for our breakdown of the Dismantler boss strategy in Ghostrunner 2, and now you know what it takes to defeat it.
