If you're a fan of Hades 2 and you're curious to know what's next for the game, Supergiant has a handy roadmap in the game's menu to give you some ideas.
Here's a full rundown of all the current updates we know about, including a new area, weapon and more. It seems like there's still quite a lot to come, despite how big Hades 2 already is.
Current Hades 2 roadmap
After loading up Hades 2, you can click on "Coming Up Next!" to see what's planned for the game.
The first major update is planned for later in 2024. Supergiant listed a number of high-priority updates that the game will eventually receive:
- All-New Region to Explore
- Crossroads Update
- New Main Weapon
The region is a "completely new area to explore" with more characters, foes and other surprises. It will be released later this year, sometime in 2024.
The Crossroads Update is a system that will allow players to decorate the Crossroads with cosmetics to make it "feel more like home". Lastly, the sixth and final main weapon will also be released at some point, giving players a new way to play.
How long until Hades 2 is fully released?
Currently, the developer has stated that the game will at least be in early access until the end of 2024. It seems likely that the full game will be released in 2025 or later.
However, the game is already bigger than the first game even in the first stage of early access, so who knows how big the game will be when it fully releases.
I'll keep you updated on Hades 2 over time, so check back for more updates. I'm eager to see what's next, although I still have a Titan of Time to deal with first.
