You may want to know what the Hardspace Shipbreaker time limit is when you undertake your first shift as a Shipbreaker and begin slicing ships apart for their precious materials. While one part of the fun in Hardspace Shipbreaker is salvaging full spaceships, you will have to contest with the time limit of your shift. So here's a quick primer on the Hardspace Shipbreaker time limit, including how it differs depending on settings.

What Is The Hardspace Shipbreaker Time Limit?

The standard time limit for a shift during the campaign mode is just 15 minutes, giving you just a quarter of an hour to get the most valuable resources possible from a scrap spacecraft. The Standard, Limited, and No Revival difficulties all adhere to this same limit with all ships, meaning you may need to scrap some of the larger vessels over a few shifts. The only campaign difficulty that differs is called Open Shift, which removes the shift timer and oxygen drain completely.

There is also a Free Play mode that comes with no restrictions, letting you pick any of the ships to salvage with no shift timer and oxygen drain. This also gives you fully upgraded equipment and infinite resources, making this a good mode for learning before stepping into the tight 15-minute bursts of the higher campaign difficulties.

Lastly, there is the Weekly R.A.C.E mode, where players can race against each other to salvage a fixed weekly ship with as much haste and efficiency as possible. You're always given a timer of 30 minutes in this mode, but the ships are often remixed from the variations you'll recognise in the campaign.

That's all for our breakdown of the Hardspace Shipbreakers time limit, and now you know the standard shift timer for the campaign, and how it differs in the other modes.
