Hell Let Loose roadmap 2023

Hell Let Loose has announced a new roadmap for 2023, which will inject some much-needed updates to the game. Included in the roadmap are plans for the following:

  • British Forces
  • Finnish Forces
  • Polish Forces
  • New Game Modes
  • New Maps
  • Refreshes for existing maps
  • New Player Tutorials
  • Non-Verbal Communication Tools
  • General bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
  • Versions of the game will be ported onto Windows 10 and Steam Deck.

The team also released a video debriefing the full scope of plans including new paid and free DLCs on the horizon.

Free DLC

Hell Let Loose free Helmet DLC

Free DLC is planned to be released across the year, with DLC drops in April and June to thank existing players. It has been confirmed that there will be a new helmet included in the free DLC.

British Pack

British forces will finally be added to the game through a 'British Pack' to join the previous Soviet, American and German forces. This also means new vehicles and weapons, faithful to the time period.

Non-verbal communication tools

Non-verbal communication tools will be implemented. The team haven’t confirmed if this will be through a chat system or a pose pack, but they have confirmed they are taking steps to ensure people without mics can communicate with squad mates.

New game mode

There will be a new game mode due for release in July that will be centred around the events of the assault on the Brecourt Battery. This game mode will feature smaller units, no armour, and will be a shorter 30–40-minute objective aimed at players with less time for a full Hell Let Loose game.

Paid DLC

Hell Let Loose Danzig Map in progress

Among the DLCs scheduled is the 101st Airborne DLC in July 2023, centred around the period-accurate events of the famous American division.

The team has also said that it plans on releasing content each year to represent each year of WWII. This means, for the next few months the devs intend to release content based on the events of 1939. One such event is planned as a DLC in December covering the Battle of Danzig. This will bring a new urban map to the game, along with new objectives and a skirmish mode between Polish and German forces.

Following this are plans to release content based around the Winter War following the battles between Finland and the Soviet Union. This means new weapons and vehicles for both sides as well as the addition of Finnish forces in the game.
