Hellblade 2 PC requirements, minimum & recommended listed
From watching the trailers, you'd anticipate Hellblade 2 to have some beefy specs on its minimum and recommended PC requirements. Find out whether that's the case.
You might be looking at the stunning graphics of Hellblade 2 and wondering if your PC is up to scratch with the recommended PC requirements. Don’t worry - you’re not the only one.
The sequel to Hellblade has seen some serious tech upgrades for this instalment, with the game making the jump to Unreal Engine 5. As such, the already very pretty game looks even more photorealistic, striking fear into the hearts of PC gamers everywhere.
Thankfully, the minimum and recommended PC requirements aren't quite as beefy as you might think. I’ve listed both the recommended and minimum Hellblade 2 PC requirements down below, which should hopefully give you some reprieve ahead of the game’s launch.
Hellblade 2 minimum PC requirements
Component | Requirement |
OS | Windows 10/11 64 Bit |
Processor | Intel i5-8400 | AMD Ryzen 5 2600 |
Memory | 16 GB RAM |
Graphics | Nvidia GTX 1070 | AMD RX 5700 | Intel Arc A580 |
Storage | 70 GB available space |
Additional Notes | SSD Required |
As you can see, the minimum PC requirements for Hellblade 2 aren’t quite as high as you might expect after viewing the trailers. The Intel and AMD CPUs listed are around seven years old now, with the graphics cards also dating back to around 2016.
The biggest concession you’ll need to make in your PC is likely the 70GB of free SSD space. Hellblade 2 isn’t bucking the trend of massive install sizes for new games, and since an SSD is listed as a minimum requirement, I’m guessing that the game will require streaming lots of textures very quickly.
Other than those outlying specs, if you own a PC that’s been built in the last 5 years or so, you should have absolutely no problems running Hellblade 2 at a minimum of 30fps at 1080p.
Hellblade 2 recommended PC requirements
Component | Requirement |
OS | Windows 10/11 64 Bit |
Processor | Intel i7-10700K | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
Memory | 16 GB RAM |
Graphics | Nvidia RTX 3080 | AMD RX 6800 XT | Intel Arc A770 |
Storage | 70 GB available space |
Additional Notes | SSD Required |
If you want Hellblade 2 to look its absolute best, then you’ll need a PC rig that looks similar to the specs listed above. Much like the minimum specs, this spec sheet isn’t completely outrageous, with the CPUs and GPUs listed dating back to around 2020.
Perhaps the most expensive bit of kit on the recommended list is the GPU, which jumps to models that are capable of raytracing. This is likely to be a big graphical feature in Hellblade 2, and if you want to take advantage of it, you’ll need the hardware to back it up.
Again, though, these recommended specs could be a lot worse. If you own a moderately powerful PC that’s been built in the last 2-3 years, you should be fine to play Hellblade 2 at reasonable resolutions and frame rates.
Of course, time will tell if these PC requirements actually translate to comparable performance - especially given Microsoft has confirmed that the game will only run at 30fps on consoles.
I’ll report back once the game has been released to see how Hellblade 2 actually performs on PC, and Steam Deck OLED too.
