Only out for just over a week at the time of writing, the comedic sci-fi shooter by Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, High on Life, has already seen massive success. As reported by Xbox Wire, the exclusive Xbox console release has become not only the biggest third-party Game Pass launch ever, but High on Life has also become the most successful single-player Game Pass title of all time as well. Does this mean it could come to PlayStation? Here is all you need to know about a potential High on Life PS5 and/or PS4 port.

Will High On Life Be On PS5 And PS4?

Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for a High on Life PS5 or PS4 port. However, there are two important things to take into account that should make PlayStation fans hold onto hope to play Squanch Games' hit comedy title: past games and the studio itself.

Firstly, Squanch Games isn't a first-party Microsoft Studio - meaning it can still launch games on other platforms. High on Life was an "Xbox launch exclusive", yes, but said wording usually implies that exclusivity is only for a limited period. In other words, whilst it may take a certain timeframe; three months, six months, a year, or even more; PlayStation fans would likely see a High on Life PS5 or PS4 port eventually.

A previous example of this would be Andrew Shouldice's Tunic. An Xbox exclusive released in March 2022, the action-adventure title later came to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 in September 2022.

Secondly, this is backed up by Squanch Games' history of past titles on other platforms. Its first game in 2016, Accounting, was released on PS4 along with PC. The last game in Sqaunch's portfolio, Trover Saves the Universe, was released on the biggest range of platforms: PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Oculus Quest.

So, when Squanch Games' contracted period of exclusivity runs out with Xbox, the studio should have little trouble with bringing High on Life to other systems.

That's all there currently is to know about a High on Life PS5 or PS4 port. If you are looking for more guides on the newest releases, find out all of the new fixes implemented in the newest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet update. Alternatively, take a look at the Witcher 3 hotfix on PC
