Along with its massive open world and lengthy campaign, Hogwarts Legacy is also multi-faceted depending on the choices you make - with the possibility of receiving a different ending. But, how many are there? Let's get into all you need to know in this Hogwarts Legacy endings guide.

SPOILER WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Hogwarts Legacy - proceed at your own caution!

How many endings are in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy has two different endings to the main story, one being the 'Good Ending' and the other being the 'Evil Ending'. These are before the final 'True Ending' which shows up as a post-game finale for all players.

Getting the good or evil ending depends on the choice you make in the aptly named last story mission, The Final Repository. In it, Professor Fig will ask you what you plan to do with the final repository of ancient magic Isadora left behind.

The Good Ending will be a result of you choosing to select "I intend to keep it contained here" under Hogwarts where it has been for centuries. The Evil Ending will be a result of you choosing "I intend to open it".

If you initially choose the latter, Professor Fig will give you the opportunity to change your mind, or you can double down saying you won't repeat Isadora's mistakes.

If choosing the first Good Ending option, Professor Fig will ask you if you still plan to keep the Keeper's secret of the repository, well, a secret - letting you mention if you want to eventually tell others about it. However, I've found whichever option you choose here makes no difference to the Good Ending as a whole.

True Ending

After the main story ends and you complete Weasley's Watchful Eye, there will be an epilogue True Ending which follows after you meet the requirement of Level 34. A delightful cutscene montage of classes before the closing school ceremony, the True Ending is the same no matter what you choose at the end of the main story.
