How to unlock Spintwitches Sporting Needs
If your first instinct is to visit Sptinwitches as soon as you unlock Hogsmeade to get a broom, you may be disappointed.
This is because unfortunately, due to trade route issues, Spintwitches Sporting Needs will not open until you have had your first flying lesson in Hogwarts. This is the game's way of giving you a flying tutorial before you are set loose on all the broomsticks available.
You'll receive instruction to attend your first flying lesson after completing the main quest 'The Hunt For The Missing Pages'.
Whilst waiting for Professor Fig to return to Hogwarts, you'll receive additional classes to attend, including flying class.
After completing your first flying lesson, Everett Clopton will direct you to the shop in Hogsmeade, which will now be open for your leisure.
Where can you get broomsticks in Hogwarts Legacy?
As well as the Spintwitches Sporting Needs shop in Hogsmeade, it is possible to buy broomsticks from other vendors across the outlying villages around Hogwarts. Spintwitches sells a selection of five brooms at the budget price of 600 galleons each.
Leopold Babcocke also sells a rarer broom called the 'Sky Scythe Broom', which is priced at a hefty 5,000 galleons. He can be found outside of Hogsmeade Station on the world map.
This means it is possible to get different brooms from other vendors scattered about the world of Hogwarts Legacy. Luckily, if you find yourself a few galleons short of a broomstick, with the transmog system, you can sell all of your old gear and still use their appearance for your character.
Be sure to check out our guide to the Hogwarts Legacy transmog system, this allows you to equip gear with the best stats whilst appearing to wear whatever you want.
