Where can you get a large pot?
As mentioned, to get a large pot you will need to get the recipe for it before you can conjure it in the Room of Requirement.
When you first unlock the room after you complete the main quest 'Jackdaw's Rest' you will automatically be able to summon small Herbology planters.
If you wish to grow larger plants, however, you'll need a larger planter to do so. You can buy recipes for medium or large-sized planters at Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade.
There, you can also buy additional items for the Room of Requirement, including larger potion stations (which enable you to cook multiple potions at once) and beast items that will aid you in looking after your magical beasts. You won't have to worry too much about this until you have unlocked the Vivarium and the ability to capture beasts.
Which plants need a large pot in Hogwarts Legacy?
Once you have the recipe for a large pot, you can create one in the Room of Requirement by using the Conjuring spell.
Two plants require a large pot to grow in; these are Fluxweed and Venomous Tentacular. Although you can grow smaller plants in larger pots if you wish to.
Fluxweed produced Fluxweed Stems which are used to brew the Focus Potions and Felix Felicis. Venomous Tentacular is used in combat as a throwable item that sprays enemies with acid.
You'll need access to both of these plants to complete Professor Sharp's and Professor Garlick's assignments.
