How to get the Merlin Twitch Drop
Merlin's cloak is an exclusive Hogwarts Legacy robe that you can get by watching the Twitch launch week livestream.
To claim the free cloak, all you have to do is watch the live stream here for at least 20 minutes with Twitch Drops enabled.
You must also make sure that you have a Warner Bros account which is linked to your Twitch account. You can create a Warner Bros account for free here. To link your account, go to your 'Account Information', then 'Connections', and click on the 'Connect' option next to the Twitch icon.
Then, you can go to your Hogwarts Legacy game and claim the cloak as your reward.
The livestream will start on February 10 in these time zones, so be sure to check in while you can:
- T (Pacific Time) – 8 AM
- GMT (UK, Greenwich Mean Time) – 4 PM
- CT (Central Standard Time) – 10 AM
- ET (Eastern Time) - 11 AM
- AT (Atlantic Time) – 12 PM
- CET (Central European Time) – 5 PM
- AET (Australian Eastern Time) – 3 AM (February 11)
- NZDT (New Zealand Daylight Time) – 5 AM (February 11)
How to redeem items in Hogwarts Legacy
Once you've earned your Merlin Cloak, you'll need to launch Hogwarts Legacy and redeem it to your account. To do so, follow these steps:
- Launch Hogwarts Legacy
- Make sure your Warner Bros account has been connected to Twitch.
- Connect your Warner Bros account to your Hogwarts Legacy game by going to 'settings'
- Scroll all the way down and select 'User Interface Options'.
- Click 'WB Games Account'
- Log into your account.
- Now they are linked go back to the 'Gear' menu
- Select your robe and 'Change Appearance'.
- Merlin's cloak will now be an option in the gear appearance menu.
- Note that the cloak isn’t an inventory item it is an appearance-only item so check that menu.
What does the Merlin Cloak do?
While it may seem getting the Merlin Cloak may provide some incredible benefits, you may want to keep those expectations in check.
Much like many of the other cosmetic items, the Merlin Cloak is simply there to make your character look cooler. It would be nice to get some snazzy extra, but at least you can take screenshots and show it off to all your friends.
