Hogwarts Legacy is an exciting game for many who love the Wizarding World as you'll be able to explore the prolific magical school and Hogsmeade to your hearts' content. However, will that experience be laggy for you on PC? Here are the Hogwarts Legacy PC system requirements you should keep in mind before pre-ordering or purchasing the game.

Hogwarts Legacy Minimum PC Specs

Hogwarts Legacy Minimum PC Specs

Hogwarts Legacy will require you to have quite a beefy PC system, despite the game bizarrely coming to the low-end Nintendo Switch. Here are the following minimum PC system requirements you need to enjoy Hogwarts Legacy. You should also keep in mind that HDD is indeed supported, but the developers recommend you install an SSD hard drive for this game instead.

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 (3.3 GHz) OR AMD Ryzen 5 1400 (3.2 GHz)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 85 GB available space
  • Additional: SSD (Preferred), HDD (Supported), 720p/30fps, low quality settings.

If you want to experience Hogwarts Legacy's multiple endings in spectacular graphical detail, you may need to upgrade your PC. Here are the Hogwarts Legacy recommended specs that the publisher WB Games suggests.

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 (3.2 GHz) OR AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6 GHz)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or INTEL Arc A770
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 85 GB available space
  • Additional: SSD, 1080p/60fps, high-quality settings.

A 1080 Ti can be a little expensive at around $250, but if you're reading this before the game's release, you still have time to save. After acquiring this graphics card and the other optimal specs, you may want to participate in Hogwarts Legacy's early access period.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to access PlayStation's exclusive content, at least not right away.

Hogwarts Legacy Ultra Specs

For those who want to go another step further, the ultra specs of Hogwarts Legacy have also been confirmed. This will require a hefty rig, so here are the suggested specs if you want a bit of extra horsepower.

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K (3.8 GHz) OR AMD Ryzen 7 5800 (3.8 GHz)
  • Memory: 32 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 85 GB available space
  • Additional: SSD, 1440p/60fps, ultra-quality settings.

Hogwarts Legacy Ultra 4K Specs

If that wasn't enough, you can even go a little bit further and push your PC setup to ultra 4K settings. This will gain you the best possible experience but be warned, it's going to cost you a hefty price in order to secure these recommended settings.
