How to complete 'Search the Tomb for the Helmet'
After proceeding through the first several steps of the Helm of Urtkot quest (speaking to Sirona, finding Lodgok at the Hog's Head Inn, and following him to the tomb) you'll set off inside the tomb to retrieve the quest's namesake goblin heirloom.
The 'Search for the tomb for the helmet' section of the quest is split up into multiple sections, each with a moth-gate entrance to the next - with some combat segments sprinkled in between as well. However, you'll find that the moths are missing from each door.
To proceed through each door, you'll need to find the moths and use Lumos to guide them back to the door until you have enough to open. Like with how to solve mirror puzzles in the game, you can easily find the location of each missing moth by casting Revelio.
After the easily-solvable first two moth doors, the next two have a bit of extra difficulty to them.
If you're stumped on trying to retrieve the elevated moth three for the third door, you need to make sure one of the other two moths in the room is placed on the room's central mechanism to activate it. Then, cast Depulso on the platform below moth three whilst standing on it, and cast Lumos again to guide it to unlock the third door.
Reaching the fourth moth door is pretty straightforward, as you just need to follow the marker through the tomb. However, the only sort of puzzle you need to keep in mind at this point is the hanging crate in the large open room, as shown below:
- Perform a basic cast on the hoist holding the crate, and it will open up the reservoir you need to jump down into and swim through to head deeper into the tomb where the fourth moth door is
- Guide one of the first two moths found on the bottom floor to the central mechanism (which works the same way as the one used for the third door)
- Stand on the rectangular platform opposite the mechanism, and cast Depulso on it twice to reach the higher level where the moth door is
- Instead of heading for the moth door though, go the opposite way and retrieve another moth on the other side of the raised platform
- Jump across whilst guiding it with Lumos, and add it to the door
- Then, the second moth needed for the fourth door can be seen right next to said door on the left - it's still close enough to come to you when you cast Lumos after using Depulso
- Finally, use Lumos on moth three by the right of the door, and you can move forward
After you realise the tomb has already been raided, you just need to go kill the thieves Lodgok directs you to. Take down a troll and some Ashwinders, search the camp, and the Helm or Urtkot is yours to give to Lodgok.
