Is Honkai Star Rail coming to Nintendo Switch?
Honkai Star Rail is already proving itself to be a popular game, so we're about to break down whether or not it's coming to Nintendo Switch.
With miHoYo's latest gacha creation Honkai: Star Rail now out in the wild, handheld gamers will probably be wondering whether or not it's going to be available on Nintendo Switch.
From the creators of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail is described as a "space fantasy RPG" that will see players form a squad and battle in turn-based combat. But what platforms can we expect to see it on?
Here, players will be able to find out what Honkai: Star Rail is and whether or not it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Is Honkai: Star Rail coming to Switch?
At the time of writing, Honkai: Star Rail is not available on Nintendo Switch, and there's no sign of it coming to the hybrid console in the future, either.
On release, the game was available to download on Windows PC, iOS and Android devices. It was also made available on PlayStation 5 on October 11, 2023, with a PlayStation 4 release also expected at some point.
Interestingly, despite the critical and commercial success of Genshin Impact since its 2020 launch, that game has still not seen a Nintendo Switch release either - although it is thought to be on its way.
If the day should come that Honkai: Star Rail will see a Nintendo Switch release, we'll update this guide.
What is Honkai: Star Rail?
Under the new branding of HoYoverse, Honkai: Star Rail is the latest release from miHoYo, the creators of Genshin Impact.
Unlike Genshin, however, Honkai: Star Rail takes on more traditional RPG elements, including turn-based combat using a team of four characters. It also features open-world elements and dungeons to explore during the adventure. It is also the second instalment of the Honkai series, following on from the 2016 title, Honkai Impact 3rd.
The story follows directly on from the previous game with the character Welt Yang embarking on a new set of adventures in a parallel universe. It includes new characters, as well as alternate versions of others that were met previously in Honkai: Impact 3rd.
