Plenty of Final Fantasy fans (myself included) will be curious as to how long the FF7 Rebirth demo is, and how much of a peek into the full experience it'll give us.

Since the full game is approaching fast, it's no surprise that gamers want to know how much the Rebirth taster will give them, and I've broken down everything you need to know below - including some cool rewards you can receive for playing it.

How long is the demo?

The initial demo, called 'Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim', will take around two hours to complete.

Essentially being a playable flashback sequence that lets you play as Cloud and Sephiroth exploring a mako reactor, this first linear demo has you wandering through the former's hometown and Nibelheim's surroundings.

The first FF7 Rebirth demo, which is 2.5 hours long

Only having you take on a couple of standard enemy battles and one boss combat-wise, you might be able to complete this demo in about 90 minutes instead if you don't feel like exploring too much.

How long is the Junon demo?

As for the second FF7 Rebirth demo, 'Dawn of a New Era in Junon', that took me roughly two and a half hours to complete.

Although, with the part two Rebirth demo set on the outskirts of Junon is focused on exploring rather than story - with some more combat encounters and a boss battle - you could easily finish it in 90 minutes if you aren't too bothered about looking around, like with the first demo.

Are there any FF7 Rebirth demo rewards?

Yes, for getting through the Nibelheim demo completely, you'll receive a Kupo charm and a Survival Set as a reward which can be redeemed once you can play the full game on February 29, 2024.

For more on the game, check Rebirth's pre-order bonuses and special editions, voice cast, whether you can play as Cid, and if it will come to other platforms

Otherwise, dive into our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth homepage for extra tips and updates.
