How Long Is The MW2 Campaign?
Modern Warfare 2 has quite the campaign, meeting many favourites from over the years, but how long does it take to beat it?
The latest installment of Modern Warfare 2 takes some unique strides when it comes to the campaign, offering a more varied experience than in previous Call of Duty titles. The campaign brings many new features to the series, but the core design of playing through a series of levels in order is still the structure of the campaign. So if you are wondering, here is the answer to the question; how long is the MW2 campaign?

MW2 Campaign: Time To Beat
If you are simply looking to get in and get out, complete the campaign then move on, then you are looking at around 6-8 hours of playtime. Although there are some open elements to some of the levels, it is still a linear narrative and you can punch through the mission list quickly if you so choose.
Obviously, your time may vary, and considering the amount of variety in this campaign, it could vary a lot. This is not simply ten levels of shooting everyone in front of you until the credits roll, there is a lot more going on in this campaign. There are multiple stealth missions, driving levels, infiltration, and so on. Much of this game is not just running and gunning, which means a much more fleshed-out experience that can take some time to beat.

Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Length: Replayability
There are some good reasons to go back and play through the Modern Warfare 2 campaign again. Like the older games, you can of course increase the difficulty for the added challenge. Unlike the older games, or the original MW2 to be more specific, there are no collectables like Intel to track down.
Where a lot of the replayability comes from is the wide variety of activities within the campaign. Previous Call of Duty campaigns have been known for a particular mission that stood out, like All Ghillied Up, which players would go back and replay multiple times. Modern Warfare 2 has several memorable missions, which all play very differently.
