How to find Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC
Here is how to find and evolve Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC - along with if you can evolve Ursaring in the game.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna is a brand-new Pokemon form introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC.
This new form joins a whole roster of new and returning Pokemon which can be found roaming about in the Kitakami region. But, much like Ursaluna’s original form first introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Bloodmoon Ursaluna can be quite tricky to find in the game.
There are a ton of requirements you’ll need to meet if you want to spot this Pokemon. Here’s everything you need to know about how to find and evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna Bloodmoon in The Teal Mask DLC.
Where to find Bloodmon Ursaluna in The Teal Mask
If you want to find Bloodmoon Ursaluna in The Teal Mask DLC, the first thing you’ll need to do is complete the DLC’s main story and catch the new Legendary Pokemon Ogerpon, alongside the Loyal Three mythicals - Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.
Once you’ve done that, the Bloodmoon Ursaluna side quest can be started.
Head left of the Mossui Town community centre, marked handily on your map, and walk along the path until you come across Perrin, a new character introduced in this DLC. She’ll be snapping pics with a camera and, bizarrely, have a long-extinct Hisuian Growlithe by her side.
Come up with whatever long-winded, Adaman-shaped theory you like to distract yourself from the fact this pupper should be dead, then talk to her. She’ll ask you to catch 150 different Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex - not a small task by any means.
Fortunately, you can keep track of your progress by pressing ‘x’, opening up your Pokedex and selecting your Kitakami Dex.
Once you’ve caught 150 Pokemon, speak to her to start a battle. Fun fact - her lead Leafeon is the same as her probable ancestor, Adaman. Cute. Torch the Leafeon and Noctowl to unlock the second part of this quest.
Beating her will prove you’re capable of taking on the Bloodmoon Beast, and she’ll tell you to meet her at the Timeless Woods, northeast of Oni Mountain.
Head on over there to find her snapping pics of a Poliwhirl like she’s from the Lental region. Take out the Ariados that attacks you with some super-effective Fire or Psychic-type moves, then press ‘ A’ by the tent to wait for a foggy night.
This will launch a Pokemon Snap-inspired game mode, where you’ll hunt down 10 different species of Pokemon and take pictures of them. Don’t get too close to the Pokemon, and make sure you crouch by pressing ‘B’ to sneak up on them.
Once you’ve snapped 10 Pokemon, head back to Perrin, who’ll ask you if you’re ready to meet Bloodmoon Ursaluna.

What type is Blood Moon Ursaluna?
Bloodmoon Ursaluna is Ground/Normal-type Pokemon, so make sure to bring Grass or Ghost-type teammates. Its most powerful move is Blood Moon - a Normal special attack move that deals 140 damage at 100 accuracy. Ouch. It also has Calm Mind, Earth Power, and Slash.
