How To Play Saints Row Multiplayer Co-Op
Jumping into a Saints Row multiplayer game with a friend is as easy ever, and there are a few different options for doing so. From the game's main menu, you can select the "Co-op Campaign" option where there are four choices for getting into a multiplayer game. These are:
- Host game - Load up an existing save.
- Join Friend - Join a friend who's already in a game.
- Host New Game - Create a fresh save for you and a friend.
- Matchmaking - Find a random player online to join.
Any of these options are great for just jumping in and playing Saints Row multiplayer, but there are different settings you can fine-tune, should you choose to. During a co-op session, go into the menu and select "Co-op Settings" if you want to prohibit the other player from doing certain things like friendly fire, or change the privacy settings of your game.
It's also worth noting the progress of cooperative games carries over to single player, and vice versa, so you can host a game for a previously single player save if you don't want to begin again. There are also some crossplay features, but they are limited to the same brands, meaning only PS4 and PS5 players can join each other, only Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players can join each other, and PC players are restricted to playing with other PC players.
That's all for our walkthrough of how to play Saints Row multiplayer or coop, and now you know the different ways you can join up with a friend.
