Hogwarts Legacy is packed with spellbinding activities - like taking on dark wizards in side quests, wizard duelling, or simply flying your broom around the massive campus. One of the most interesting though, is the unique mini-game, Summoners Court. Here is all you need to about the minigame in this Hogwarts Legacy guide.

How to play Summoners Court

To start playing Summoner's Court, you'll play a tutorial game in Charms class with Professor Ronen, against Natsai Onai.

Afterwards, to properly get into playing the mini-game, you need to follow the quest, Summoner's Court: Match 1. This will take you to Hogwarts student, Leander Prewett, who is keen on challenging you to a game.

Summoner's Court is effectively a wizard shuffleboard, but in reverse - starting you with three balls each. Using the spell, Accio, you and your opponent take turns bringing balls on the board as close to you as possible without going over the edge. You score points depending on what coloured area your balls land on. You get 10 for landing on red, 20 for yellow, 30 for green, and 50 for blue.

What you also need to keep in mind though, there can also be still or moving pieces - like wooden drums or shifting blocks - which you need to avoid well.  However, if aimed right, they could actually stop a ball to help secure its place on the board. Aim wrong on the other hand, and a ball can bounce off the piece and the board altogether.

Steps to win Summoners Court in Hogwarts Legacy

The key to winning Summoner's Court is precision and a bit of luck. Whilst casting Accio with the standard R2 (RT on Xbox/PC equivalent) and button controls, you'll also need to time your holding of R2 to determine the strength of your cast and how far the ball goes.

The ideal way to quickly secure the highest amount of points is by aiming to avoid the obstacle pieces and have your balls make it to the blue section of the board without the risk of being knocked out. The additional luck element can be your opponent hopefully knocking your own balls forward or hitting the wooden pieces themselves depending on how they're laid out during the specific game.

To that effect, it can be initially tricky to get your ball exactly where you want it to be when navigating a multi-piece board with limited movement.

For the best chance of landing your ball in the 50 points blue section every time, line your character up with the ball so there are no obstacles in your path. Then, when casting Accio, keep holding R2 until the ball is in the 30 points green section. The remaining momentum should keep your ball rolling into the blue section with little chance of it rolling off the edge.

Rest assured though, you'll get used to the precise controls with practice. In the meantime, you can take on Leander Prewett as many times as you need to complete the quest.
