Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 revolves around the Nexus War. Galactus and the Black Winter threaten reality as we know it. In search of power, Galactus has invaded the Fortnite Universe in hopes of destroying our planet.
Thankfully, a group of Marvel superheroes led by Thor has come to stop Galactus. Storm, Mystique, Iron Man and more have teamed up with Fortnite Legends like Jonesy.
Every day more and more Marvel heroes flood in to join the fight. We'll need all the help we can get, and that now includes the aid of the Silver Surfer.
Unlocking The Silver Surfer in Fortnite
Unlike the other Marvel skins this season, Silver Surfer is an Item Shop exclusive. It's not in the Battle Pass and can not be unlocked through gameplay or challenges. The only way to unlock this skin is by spending V-Bucks.
A small number of V-Bucks are granted through both the free and the premium Battle Pass. Players not interested in spending additional money can work on saving these up. If you're in a rush, you'll have to purchase a bundle of V-Bucks from the in-game store. For those on a budget, consider buying the new Starter Pack. You'll get a bonus skin and 600 V-Bucks for just $4.
The Silver Surfer is priced at 1,500 V-Bucks and also comes with the Herald's Star Back Bling. This seems like a pretty good deal considering the quality of the skin.
The Silver Surfer was last seen in the Item Shop on August 30, 2020. The skin appeared for just a limited time and is no longer available. However, the season has just begun, and the Fantastic Four superhero will certainly be back. Toward the end of the season, Epic Games might even throw him in with a bundle of other Marvel icons. We've seen it before.
Unlocking Silver Surfer’s Board Glider and Pickaxe
Just like the Silver Surfer himself, the pickaxe and Board Glider are Item Shop exclusives. The pickaxe and glider can be purchased separately or in a bundle for a discounted price.
The Silver Surfer Pickaxe and Board Glider are purchasable individually for 800 V-Bucks each. For those interested in the whole set, however, consider buying the bundle. Players can purchase the skin, the Herald’s Star Back Bling, the Pickaxe, and the Board Glider for 2,200 V-Bucks. The price is intimidating, but you’ll actually save 800 V-Bucks (or eight dollars).
Silver Surfer’s Board is one of Chapter 2 - Season 4’s new Mythic items. Pair the two together and watch the whole lobby stare in awe. Grab this new skin and help the Marvel superheroes defend the Fortnite Universe from the evil villain Galactus.
