Final Fantasy 16 multiplayer would be a great way to interact with the stunning world and get together with your friends. Can you play Final Fantasy 16 in multiplayer?
Currently, there is no online connectivity in Final Fantasy 16. The game is an epic JRPG that has amazed fans around the world with its impactful combat and beautiful graphics. However, Final Fantasy 16 multiplayer is not on the cards at the moment.
"I created a narrative that would always keep Clive at its nexus," said Final Fantasy 16 Creative Director Kazutoyo Maehiro to the PlayStation Blog. "I took care to ensure that he really feels like the protagonist, not just one character among multiple storylines." This attention to having one central protagonist likely led to the decision to make Final Fantasy 16 purely single-player.

Is multiplayer possible in Final Fantasy 16?
The Final Fantasy series has a few multiplayer experiences in its history. Final Fantasy 15 adapted the game and made a multiplayer mode called Comrades. It wasn't particularly successful, however. Spinoff games like the Dissidia series and the MMO gameplay in Final Fantasy 11 and Final Fantasy 14 also bring you together with your friends.
However, is a Final Fantasy 16 multiplayer mode possible? There are currently no plans announced by publisher Square Enix for this feature. Other recent Square Enix games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3 lack multiplayer as well. With the existence of Comrades for the last numbered entry, we could see a Final Fantasy 16 multiplayer game in the future, but it's unlikely as of now.
Something to keep in mind is that Square Enix has been multiplayer forward with its releases lately. Foamstars seems to be Square's take on Nintendo's popular Splatoon series, while Marvel's Avengers had a deep focus on its multiplayer before getting cut off.
If you are interested in playing a fully multiplayer Final Fantasy title, though, FFXIV is an MMO title that might scratch the itch.
