Pokemon UNITE has been teased for quite some time now, with many fans wondering whether or not the project was still going ahead after being left in suspense for a year with little to no mention of the game.
However, Nintendo fixed that at a more recent showcase, confirming that the MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) would be set for a 2021 release - but just when in 2021 would that be?
When Is Pokemon UNITE's Release Date?
Well, thankfully the lovely people behind the game have decided to put a proper launch date on the project, and Pokemon UNITE will officially be coming to Nintendo Switch consoles on July 21, 2021.
The news of the release date was announced on the official Pokemon UNITE Twitter account, alongside a new trailer for the game and a confirmation that players who jumped on to the game before August 31 would receive the Pokemon Zeraora for their collection.
Will Pokemon UNITE Be Coming To Mobile?
For now, Pokemon UNITE will be remaining a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but it appears that the game may also soon be coming to mobile.
In a statement written on the official website for the game, it reads: "Pokémon UNITE will be available on mobile devices in September. Cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch and mobile devices is planned, which will allow players on both platforms to battle together and against one another."
How Much Does Pokemon UNITE Cost?
Pokemon UNITE will be a free-to-play game, but it will include a range of microtransactions within the game. This may include buying items to help in your battling, more Pokemon to fight with and even bonus coins.
The game is sure to make a huge splash in the online gaming community, following in the footsteps of popular games like League of Legends and Dota 2.
