Is Silent Hill 2 Remake PS5 Exclusive?
During the announcement of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, it was revealed the game would be coming to both the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms, meaning the game will be a console exclusive. However, it was also revealed this exclusivity will be timed for a year, meaning the game will also likely to come to the Xbox One and potentially the Nintendo Switch as a cloud version in the future.
The original Silent Hill 2 was also a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 2 when it released in September 2001, with it taking a little over two months to release for the original Xbox console. The PC version was then released over a year later in December 2002.
This is set to be the first Silent Hill game in quite some time, and is also the first Silent Hill game for the next generation of consoles.
