Is Warzone 2 On PS4 And Xbox One?
Wondering what your fate is if you've got a last-gen console? Here's your answer to 'is Warzone 2 on PS4 and Xbox One?
It's that time of year when we all start considering our options in the console wars. Do we stick with the Xbox One? Upgrade to the Series X|S? Switch allegiances to a PS5? It's a troublesome time, and amid an economical crunch, it couldn't have come at a worse time. So, maybe you might want to consider staying put, but will this move allow you to still play the games that you love? If you're a Call of Duty fan, here's all you need to know as to whether Warzone 2 is on PS4 and Xbox One.
Is Warzone 2 On Last-Gen Consoles?
Warzone 2 will be released in tandem with Modern Warfare 2. While the games won't be launching at the same time, with the multiplayer game set for an earlier release and the battle royale presumably coming as part of Season 1, the two will be operating on the same hosted hub.
This means that both titles will be played on the same generation of consoles, and with Modern Warfare 2 doing away with the standard package and upgrading every player to a "cross-gen" version of the game, this reads great for Warzone players too.
Warzone 2 Platforms
Warzone 2 will be accessible on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, making it a completely cross-gen battle royale game.
A completely new Warzone experience is headed to mobile, so you won't be able to play against console players on your handheld device, although with the pace of the game, its more of a blessing than a curse.
So, it might not be a bad idea to stick to your PS4 or Xbox One. You'll even get a FOV slider this time around.
Of course, the new-gen consoles perform significantly more efficiently than the last-gen variants on Warzone 2, but you can still enjoy the game the same nonetheless.
