Best heroes & team comps for the King Croaker boss in AFK Journey

AFK Journey's King Croaker boss can be quite frustrating to deal with, so I'm here to help with recommendations for the best heroes and team comps to make your life fighting this fat frog a little easier.

There are four Dream Realm bosses that rotate daily in the game, and what makes King Croaker one of the most annoying is all thanks to its insta-kill ability - so let's get into all you need to know for when you go toe to toe with it.

Best heroes to defeat King Croaker

• Cecia
• Hewynn
• Marilee
• Odie
• Smokey & Meerky
• Thoran

King Croaker can instantly kill your heroes with its bubble attack, and if you don't have a counter it'll eventually get through your whole team before you can do enough damage to it. He'll also designate your frontline hero as the tank and constantly attack them.

That means heroes with resistance to instant kill effects like Thoran are vital for fighting King Croaker, as you need your tank to remain alive for as long as possible.

Having a good healer is also essential, and Smokey & Meerky is the best option. You can also get far with Hewynn, but King Croaker's area-of-effect damage means you'll need a strong healer to keep your team alive.

Finally, you'll need a strong damage dealer and Cecia is always a good option. You can also use Odie, but he's only top-tier if you have him at Mythic+ level. Still, for sustained damage he's an excellent pick and synergises with other Maulers like Smokey or Koko. There's also Marilee who's seen in a lot of top comps too.

Best King Croaker team comps in AFK Journey

Here's an example of a good team to take on King Croaker with:

• Cecia or Marilee (DPS)
• Odie (DPS)
• Thoran (Tank)
• Smokey & Meerky (Support)
• Koko (Support)

This comp has the best-in-slot tank in Thorin, two top-tier supports and two of the best ranged attackers. You'll be buffing your team's damage and healing them while tanking for longer with Thorin's ability to avoid instant-kill bubbles.

If you don't have all of these heroes, though, here are some other options I'd recommend using:

• Hewynn can replace Smokey if you don't have him
• Korin is a good ranged option instead of Cecia
• Reinier is a solid support option alongside Smokey

Make sure you don't use other melee attackers or it'll affect King Croaker's instant kill bubble targeting. With a single tank like Thoran the boss will always target your tank first.
