With an entire array of new abilities for players to dive into, Hwei is set to cause a stir in the game. From a devastating ultimate to an unrelenting passive, Hwei's abilities are incredibly unique, for dealing damage and protecting his allies.
Who is Hwei in League of Legends?
With a penchant for perilous paintings, Hwei is a troubled artist who creates art to comfort the victims of criminals in Ionia, while also confronting those who dare to bring discord to Runeterra.
Overcome with despair, Hwei experiences searing visions that lead him ever closer to Jhin, the one who made him the artist he is today but devasted him all the same.
What are Hwei’s abilities in League of Legends?
Hwei is a unique character in League of Legends, in that he has the capability of casting ten unique spells by using three spellbooks, each with its artistic subject:

Creates volcanic eruptions and a lava path that slows and deals magic damage. |

Creates crushing jaws that deal magic damage and pull enemies slowly to the centre, slowing them. |
Alongside these spellbook abilities, Hwei has the Signature of the Visionary passive, which allows him to mark enemies and, after damaging them, create an explosion beneath them that will deal magic damage to all enemies in range of it.
Additionally, with his Wash Brush ability, Hwei can return all of his base abilities without using mana or being affected by cooldowns.
Finally, Hwei’s Spiraling Despair allows him to engulf enemies in a terrifying zone that inflicts magic damage and applies stacks of Despair that can deal devastating damage.
