How to install & play League of Legends PBE
You can get a nice head start on new League of Legends patches with the PBE server, and this guide will show you how to easily install it and play on it.
If you'd like to play new League of Legends updates ahead of their release, the PBE is the best way to do so. You can log in and test new patches alongside other players, including new modes, skins and other features in the game.
Not only is it a great way to make sure you don’t get surprised in the next coming update but it’s also a great way for the developers over at Riot Games to gain feedback. Here's a full walkthrough on how to create an account and install the PBE so you can get started.
How to create a League of Legends PBE account
Before downloading the League of Legends PBE client, players must first confirm if they are eligible or not. You can do this by following these steps:
- Visit the signup page and make an account
- Log in with your Riot Games account
- Click on “Check my Eligibility”
It’s worth noting that if you’ve been banned or have had chat restrictions in the past, your chances of becoming eligible aren’t very high. You'll need to be Honor level 3 before you can make an account on the PBE.
How to download League of Legends PBE
Once you’ve checked if you’re eligible, it’s time to begin downloading the League of Legends PBE. Just like downloading any other game or program, you’ll have to go down a checklist of steps. Here’s the rundown:
- On the same PBE page click on the corresponding downloading link (there will be one for Windows and one for Mac)
- Once you’ve downloaded the client, click on League of Legends PBE
- Switch to your PBE account if you haven't yet, then hit Play
- Install any necessary updates then get playing!
Once it’s downloaded and installed, you’ll be able to test out all of the new patch changes, skins, and more, all before they hit the live servers.
