Finding and using Frost Shells in LEGO Fortnite is essential if you want to get some of the rarer crafting items in the game, so we’re here to break down where to find them and how to put them to the best use.
There are plenty of resources, like Sand Claws and Knotroot, that can help make your experience in LEGO Fortnite all the smoother, and Frost Shells will also help you a great deal along the way.
Where to find Frost Shells in LEGO Fortnite
Frost Shells are materials that drop from Frost Roller enemies after killing them, and they can be found in the Frostlands biome. If you’re looking to find some relatively quickly, using a world seed to get to the biome quicker may come in handy.
These enemies, as you can see above, are large crabs with rocky exteriors that start slightly buried underground. Once they’ve spotted you, they’ll try and pelt you with rocks and roll into you to cause significant damage.
While you can kill them with conventional weaponry, your best bet is to try to bait them into rolling into water or each other so they inflict the damage on themselves. Otherwise, you may be in for a long battle. Once they’re down, they’ll drop your coveted Frost Shell.
What are Frost Shells used for in LEGO Fortnite?
Frost Shells are a crucial item if you want to craft the Rare Cool-Headed Charm. This charm, as you'll see below, allows you to withstand some of the hotter environments - meaning you won’t have to rely on cooling recipes and temporary temperature resistance.
To get this item, you’ll need to upgrade your crafting bench with an assortment of materials, so it’s something to aim for as you progress through the game.
