There’s a realm of possibilities for what you can build in LEGO Fortnite, so we’re here to show you how to build a car, along with all the resources and materials you’ll need to get started.

Whether you’re upgrading your village or hunting for resources like Brightcore, there’s plenty to do in the game, and hopping in a car and driving around the various biomes is just one facet of LEGO Fortnite.

To build a basic car in LEGO Fortnite (and I’m talking barebones here) you’re going to need the following resources from the Toys section of the crafting menu above, that we’ve listed here along with the materials you’ll need to craft them:

Resource

Material

Activation Switch

1x Wood, 1x Blast Powder

Dynamic Foundation

4x Flexwood

Small Thruster

1x Wooden Rod, 1x Blast Powder, 1x Torch

Large Thruster

3x Wooden Rod, 2x Blast Powder, 1x Torch

Small Wheel

1x Flexwood Rod, 1x Flexwood

Large Wheel

1x Flexwood Rod, 1x Flexwood

Once you’ve done that, stick them all together like in the image below and you’ll have yourself a handy single-direction driving car. Who needs steering, right…? Right?

Now that you’ve built yourself a basic car in LEGO Fortnite, you might want to upgrade to a steering model that you have a little more control over (mostly so you can avoid crashing into trees, unlike me), and it’s all about the positioning of your thrusters and Activation Switches.

Make sure you have thrusters on either side of the car with Activation Switches next to them. You’ll need to do a little bit of manoeuvring, but once you do, you’ll have more control over where the car propels itself.

That’s everything you need to know about building a car in LEGO Fortnite. Be sure to check out our LEGO Fortnite homepage, where we’ve covered guides on where to find Knotroot, Obsidian, Malachite and even whether or not you can breed animals in the game.
