How to build a Basement in The Sims 4
The game gives you two ways to build basements in The Sims 4, depending on which version you find easier. The first way you can do it is by selecting a room that is pre-built in the “Walls and Empty Rooms” selection category, and then dragging it onto your lot so that your basement is put onto your lot that way.
If you prefer to build your basement yourself, you can go to the lowest floor which will take you below the house so that you can freely build your basement within the constraints of your house. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same size as your house, so you can build it however you like.
You can have two extra floors under your house if you want to, so you could have that house gym you’ve always wanted for your sims or a secret study that you don’t have space for upstairs.
That’s everything you need to know about how to build a basement in The Sims 4, and the two ways you can use to do so. For more guides on The Sims 4, check out our Sims homepage.
