What Is The Capital Ship In Marauders?
While the Marauders Capital Ship is actually something you can fly yourself, explained fully in our Marauders ships guide, it also exists as a static 'event' of sorts that occasionally appears in the open space. It looks the exact same as the Capital Ship that you can craft yourself, only it will remain static so is easily identifiable by that.
On board, the ship houses a hefty amount of loot for you to scavenge, in addition to four Commandos with potentially high-tier armour, weapons, and ammo for you to escape with.
It is a really great way to get your hands on some great loot for basically no downside, allowing you to gain a potential advantage in any subsequent PvP encounters you are thrown into. Furthermore, it can be a really great way to quickly make money, as it doesn't take long to complete and is relatively risk-free too.

Marauders Capital Ship Farm Location
If you're looking for the Marauders Capital Ship farm location, then you won't have to look far as it will just be floating out in the open space area of the map. Although the Capital Ship is not guaranteed to spawn every single raid, you are likely to find it after a few runs at the very most.
It is fairly easy to spot due to its size, and can be distinguished from any normal player ships by its static nature. It can be easily mistaken for any floating nearby asteroids though, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.
Once you've spotted it, all you need to do is fly as close as you want in your main ship, and then hop into your escape pod to breach the frigate.

Marauders Capital Ship Farm Strategy
The great thing about this farm is that you technically don't need to take any gear in, eradicating the risk of losing precious items and burning money if you die. Thankfully, every time you load into a raid there will be a pistol, some ammo, and armour sitting on the main table in your ship that you can pick up. This should be enough to get you past the first enemy in the Marauders Capital Ship farm, and then you can just pick up their gear and guns.
One thing you might want to think about bringing in is a backpack of some form, as there is a lot of loot on the ship that you will want to pick up, and the Commandos usually don't carry backpacks for you to steal.
Before you make your way over to the Marauders Capital Ship after spotting it, you'll want to make sure to take out the turrets, otherwise, they will easily shoot down both your ship and escape pod before you manage to reach it. You are able to see them just above the centre of the ship, so just aim your turret onto this area and keep shooting until there is a big explosion.
Once you've taken out the turret, you will be safe to get closer. If you're using the standard Rustbucket ship then you don't need to worry too much about where you park your ship, but if you're flying one of the craftable ships then you'll want to park it in a safe and hidden place. Once you're happy with your ship's location, head into your escape pod and get close to the ship and breach it.
Immediately after breaching and entering the ship, you will likely encounter a Commando beyond the door in front of you. Aim for the head with the pistol that you picked up from your ship and that should easily take them out. Don't immediately rush to loot the body though as there could be at least one more Commando lurking around the surrounding area.
Once you've cleared the space, you should be free to loot the first body and upgrade your gear. The great thing about this farm is that these Commandos usually carry 7.62 weapons and ammo, and also high-class armour that is very difficult to find especially in the early game.
Carry on forward through the ship, taking out any other Commandos that you encounter. There should be no more than four throughout the ship, so remember to keep count so you can reach a point of safety.
Move past the escape pods until you reach the back of a ship where a door resides. This should be where the captain's room is, which you will definitely want to have a browse through. A difficult Commando does have a chance of spawning in here though, so don't run in unprepared and get caught out. There should also be an Intel Document that spawns on the table inside this room, which will sell for a fair amount, making it an essential pick-up.
One thing in addition that you do need to be careful of is the high probability of other players boarding the ship when you're already on it. You can potentially hear the breach noise, so if that does happen make sure to stay on guard, and even seek out the player if you feel confident enough. After all, the chances are that you'll have better gear than them, as you got here first.
Once you've cleared the ship and filled your backpack with loot, just use one of the escape pods to get out and either return to your ship or go straight for the extract if you're happy with your loot.
So, that's how to find and complete the Marauders Capital Ship farm, allowing you to get your hands on some easy money and loot to get a foot up on your opponents. If you're wondering where the Marauders silver coin is, however, check out our handy guide for all the locations and uses.
