How to use a Spray in Marvel Rivals
Did you know that you can use Sprays in Marvel Rivals? There are plenty of new designs you can unlock too. Here's what you need to know about it all.

Just like other shooters of the same ilk, Marvel Rivals has a Spray system that lets you adorn the levels with images.
With plenty of different Sprays to unlock as part of the game’s seasonal progression, you can express yourself by equipping your favourite designs to the Spray wheel and placing them on walls when in matches. It might not help you win a fight, but at least the place will look prettier while you try.
To save you from scouring through the options menu to find the right key bind, here’s how to equip different Sprays and how to use them in Marvel Rivals.
How to use Sprays
When you’re in a match, hold the ‘T’ key on PC, or the ‘Left D-Pad’ button on a controller. This will bring up a wheel of Sprays that you can currently use. By default, you'll only have the Marvel Rivals logo equipped, plus another that's specific to the hero you're playing. I found that Spider-Man has a block-white logo of himself equipped - a little narcissistic if you ask me.
Make sure that you’re close to a sprayable surface, like a wall, floor, or ceiling, and select the Spray you’d like to use. This will place the design onto the surface that you’re facing, and other players in the match will be able to see it too.
If you use a Spray again on a different surface, the original one will disappear. This is to prevent bad actors from adorning the entire level in Spray designs, which I can imagine would be quite distracting when you’re trying to win a match.
How to equip new Sprays
To change the current Sprays that you have equipped, head to the ‘Heroes’ screen from the main menu and navigate to the ‘Cosmetics’ tab.
Here, you’ll be able to see all of the Sprays that you’ve currently unlocked and will be able to change which ones you have equipped to your wheel.
How to unlock new Sprays in Marvel Rivals
New Sprays can be unlocked by progressing Galacta’s Quest, the game’s seasonal content during the closed beta test.
When the full game releases, I imagine that this will also be the primary way that you will unlock new Sprays. There may also be options to purchase bundles that include them, but they aren’t available in the beta right now.
Currently, you can unlock the following Sprays for your favourite heroes:
- 2099: Spider-Punk Spray - Spider-Man
- 1872: Steam Power Spray - Iron Man
- Galactic Protocol: Mantis Habit Spray - Mantis
- Green Scar Spray - Bruce Banner/Hulk
I’ll update this guide if we learn more about Sprays when the full version of Marvel Rivals launches.
