Curious to know how Meet Your Maker multiplayer, co-op, and crossplay work? Meet Your Maker is a mostly asymmetrical multiplayer game, which is to say it is not a game where players compete directly against each other. Multiplayer comes in a few different forms in this game, and we are here to explain them. Here is everything you need to know about Meet Your Maker multiplayer, co-op, and crossplay.

Is Meet Your Maker multiplayer?

In a sense, Meet Your Maker is entirely a multiplayer game. Even though you can play this game largely by yourself, the nature of the game requires input from multiple players. There are two modes to the game, raiding and building.

Raids have you infiltrating other players' Outposts. These bases are constructed by players, and they do so with the express intent of taking out invaders. So in essence, when raiding, you are competing against the player who designed the Outpost.

Transversely, when you build your own Outposts, you are competing against raiding players. You are actively trying to kill them with traps and guards, and gain resources for doing so. You can even visit your Outposts post-construction to see exactly where players have died, and make adjustments in areas where players are not getting caught.

Is Meet Your Maker co-op?

Furthering the levels of multiplayer play in this game, you can also play together directly in co-op mode. This mode allows you and a friend to raid Outposts together, and share the rewards.

You can also use the Command Centre to view the Outposts of your friends, and attempt to raid them. There is no downside to being raided, so feel free to raid your friends without fear of ruining their game.

Is Meet Your Maker crossplay?

The easiest answer to this question is, not quite. You cannot play co-op with friends on other platforms. Neither can you maintain your own progression between various platforms, there is no cross-progression either.

That said, it is possible to raid the bases of players on other platforms. The pool which Outposts are pulled from is unified across all platforms, so as to make sure there are plenty of Outposts to go around.

So while you cannot play directly with friends on other systems, you can potentially raid each other's Outposts.

That is it for Meet Your Maker multiplayer, co-op and crossplay. For more on the game, check out our handy guide on how to build a base in Meet Your Maker.
