How To Fix Monster Hunter Rise Not Launching

In situations like this, there’s more than one method when it comes to rectifying the issue. If you are unable to open Monster Hunter Rise, there are various fixes to it not launching. If you run into this issue, try one of the following solutions, and hopefully, it should rectify the problem for you:

Run Monster Hunter Rise In Administrator Mode

This is a very simple, and quite often, quick fix to problems such as this. Firstly, locate the file on your computer and right-click it, and select properties. From here, go to the compatibility tab and tick the box to run the game as an administrator. Apply all of this and attempt to launch Monster Hunter Rise again.

Update Your Graphics Driver

Another potential issue is the game could require a graphics driver update. If you’re unsure if your graphics card is out of date in order to play Monster Hunter Rise, be sure to check the manufacturer’s site where all the up-to-date information should be available for you.

Check Your Antivirus

If you’re still running into problems launching Monster Hunter Rise, it’s worth checking your antivirus software, if you have any installed. While it’s different for every piece of software, you should be able to allow access to the game if for some reason it’s blocking it from launching.

If you’re unsure of how to do so, check with your software provider for more information on how to do so. It’s pretty simple and could be an easy workaround.

Verify The Integrity Of Game Files

Even after these potential fixes, you could still be running into issues launching Monster Hunter Rise. Players have reported that fixing the integrity of the game files has helped them play the game. In order to do this, simply complete the following steps:

  1. Open the Xbox app for Windows.
  2. In My Library, select the game title.
  3. Select the More options () button and choose Manage
  4. Select Files and then Verify and repair.

Close Down Any Other Applications

A common and overlooked solution is simply closing down any other applications on your PC. Certain programs have a tendency to drain much-needed power from the CPU and memory, meaning you could have a hard time launching Monster Hunter Rise.

If this is the case, check your Task Manager and close down anything that could potentially be causing you any issues.

If after these problems you are still running into issues, you could try and attempt a reinstallation of Monster Hunter Rise, or alternatively, reach out to Capcom explaining the issue and they should hopefully give you an appropriate fix.
