Does MultiVersus Have Game Chat Or Voice Chat?
MultiVersus is taking the world by storm, but does the game allow you to use game chat or voice chat? Is a potential lack of it some sort of Kryptonite for the fighting game?

For many fighting games like MultiVersus, players are accustomed to hearing game chat or voice chat and speaking back to others. Some platform fighters like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate do not have the function, but is MultiVersus breaking that trend with Superman's powerful fists, or is it rusty like the Iron Giant in 50 years' time? Let's find out in this MultiVersus game chat and voice chat guide.
- If you're looking to play on PC, here are the MultiVersus system requirements.
MultiVersus Game Chat Or Voice Chat - Can You Use It?
In fighting games like Tekken 7 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, voice chat can be turned on, but in MultiVersus' case, there is no functionality whatsoever. We've dived through the options, but voice chat is not available in MultiVersus at this current time.
You can communicate through emotes, taunts, emojis, and unfortunately teabagging if that is up your street. At the time of writing, MultiVersus is in beta, so things may change (and we'll update this post if we hear of any news). But as of right now, there is no way to voice chat or game chat in MultiVersus.
MultiVersus Game Chat Or Voice Chat - Are There Alternatives?
If you want to find mutuals to play against and chat to, we first recommend checking out the official MultiVersus Discord. It has over 157,000 members, but to get in, you'll need to verify your phone number when trying to join the group and then enter your password. Once that's done and you've agreed to follow the rules, you'll be in. You can matchmake with other players in the designated rooms. While you're there, you can also provide feedback to the developer of the game, Player First Games.
To play the game with others and chat at the same time, we recommend using Discord again. It will be available on Xbox (very soon as of August 2022) and PlayStation (later than the prior), so you can play with your friends on PC and vice versa. If Discord is not yet available to use on the console of your choice, try to use your phone as a way to communicate until the popular app is added to the PlayStation and Xbox family of systems.
