It's the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend, and with it comes new and exclusive CDL Champs Drops for MW2. Double XP Tokens, Emblems, Stickers, Calling Cards, a Camo, a Blueprint, and more are up for grabs, and all you have to do is watch some competitive Call of Duty!
This primer explains all about the CDL Champs Drops in Modern Warfare 2 and all the Viewership Rewards.
How can you get the CDL Champs Twitch Drops?
Before you can start earning the CDL Champs Twitch Drops in MW2, you must link your Twitch account with your Activision account. Once your accounts are linked, tune into the action on Twitch to start earning credit toward the Viewership Rewards!
While Twitch.tv/CallofDuty is the official broadcast, it's not the only spot on Twitch where you can progress the CDL Champs Drops. New with CDL Champs, all official watch parties, such as the Scump Watch Party, are also eligible broadcasts for Viewership Rewards.
You can track your CDL Champs Viewership Rewards progress, and claim your Drops, in the Drops Inventory on Twitch. After redeeming your Viewership Rewards, the items will appear in-game the next time you launch MW2.
Champs Drops schedule
It all comes down to Champs! CDL Champs is a four-day event occurring from Thursday, June 15, 2023, to Sunday, June 18, 2023. Each day of CDL Champs features different Viewership Rewards, also known as Drops, that you can earn for watching the tournament on that particular day.
The Thursday, Friday, and Saturday broadcasts begin at 8pm BST, while the Championship Sunday broadcast begins at 7:30pm BST.
How to get the Viewership Rewards on YouTube
The MW2 CDL Champs Drops are not exclusive to Twitch. If you'd prefer to watch on YouTube, you can get the Viewership Rewards there too.
Similar to how it works with Twitch, you must link your YouTube account with your Activision account. Once that's taken care of, sit back, relax, and watch CDL Champs on the COD League YouTube Channel while signed in with your linked account to start earning the Drops.
One unfortunate aspect of watching on YouTube is that you cannot track your progress on Viewership Rewards. If you use YouTube, you will have to manually track your watch time or simply check in-game on MW2 periodically to see if you're receiving the Drops.
