MW2 Campaign: How To Defuse The Bomb In Dark Water

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is filled with many action-packed moments, there is also plenty fuelled by pure tension, forcing you to make quick decisions. Whether you’re being interrogated or facing a life-or-death situation, developer Infinity Ward wants to ensure players are constantly on edge.
One mission where this comes to a head is during Dark Water. It’s during the climax you’ll be forced to disarm a bomb with no room for error and a strict time limit. It comes out of the blue, and if you’re not prepared can soon be sending you straight back to the last checkpoint. How To Defuse The Bomb In Dark Water In MW2
At the very end of the level, after fighting your way across the boat and making your way up to the helm, you’ll find a bomb that needs to be disarmed. Simply interact with it, and you’ll begin the process, where you’ll be talked through every step of how to do so. While this is all well and good, you have to make snap actions to ensure it doesn’t go off.
To begin with, you’ll be asked to set the bomb to diagnostic mode, which involves pressing CLR and MODE at the same time. If you look at the controls on the screen, you’ll see your controller buttons displayed for the corresponding action. Simply press the one for CLR and only MODE at the same time to reach the next stage.
The next section is the trickiest and leaves you with a very strict time limit to complete it. You’re asked to input the last digit of the code on the second row of the first column. If you’re prone to cracking under pressure, this can be a challenge, so to save you that hassle, the answer is the letter C.
Once this has been completed, your final action to defuse the bomb in Dark Water will be to press the EXE button. As with the first objective, simply look at the corresponding button on-screen and press it on your controller. With this done the bomb will be defused and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mission will be completed.
