How Many Missions Are In MW2 Campaign?
Long-time players have grown to learn the average length of a Call of Duty game, and roughly how many missions they will need to undertake before reaching the campaign’s conclusion. There was some speculation before its release that Modern Warfare 2 could be longer than other campaigns in the franchise, and while it’s by no means going to soak up weeks of your life, it could require one long weekend.
After finishing the game ourselves, we can confirm Modern Warfare 2 is broken up into 17 various globe-trotting missions. Each varies in length with some, such as the later mission Hindsight averaging around five minutes, whilst the mid-game Recon By Fire sits around the hour mark.
On average, you’re looking at 6-8 hours for a campaign completion, depending on difficulty and achievement/trophy hunting. While it’s good to know how many missions are ahead of you until the end of Modern Warfare 2, just be aware you could still have a fair amount to do dependent on mission length.
