How To Slide Cancel In Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta: Console
You can Slide Cancel in Modern Warfare 2 by moving forward while activating Tac Sprint, followed by pressing the Slide button while tapping the ADS button twice, and then the jump button to complete the Slide Cancel manoeuvre. The only trick here is the last two actions, pressing the ADS button twice and the jump button to complete the Slide Cancel.

In the previous Call of Duty games, like Warzone, a player would easily Slide Cancel by sliding while being in Tac Sprint mode and then pressing the crouch button. But players must rely on this new trick since the manoeuvre got officially removed and is not present in the re-release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
To make the Slide Cancel work in Modern Warfare 2, make sure you have the following settings enabled/disabled.
- Grounded Mantle - Off
- Automatic Ground Mantle - Off
- Weapon Mount Activation - Double-Tap ADS
You will find the above settings in the Movement Advanced Settings option of Modern Warfare 2. Once the settings are changed, as shown above, you can easily do Slide Cancel in Modern Warfare 2 by performing the following action, Sprint --> Slide --> ADS --> ADS --> Jump.
How To Tac Sprint On Consoles In Modern Warfare 2
You can Tac Sprint in Modern Warfare 2 by pressing the L3 button twice. If you cannot trigger Tac Sprint during matches, you can always turn on the Automatic Tac Sprint from the Modern Warfare 2 Controller settings, Gameplay section. Set the Automatic Sprint to "Automatic Tactical Sprint," and you will be good to go.

As mentioned earlier, the Slide Cancel manoeuvre in Modern Warfare 2 was officially unavailable as it got confirmed during the Call of Duty: Next showcase event.
