Here's how you can unlock the Pendulum blueprint in MW2
Want to become one of the most powerful players in Modern Warfare 2? Here's how to unlock the deadly Pendulum blueprint.
One weapon that’s making a name for itself is the Pendulum, a weapon blueprint for the battle rifle TAQ-V. It appears to be impressing a ton of people, resulting in many racing to unlock it for themselves. If you’re eager to unlock the Pendulum in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and DMZ, here’s what you need to do.
How do you unlock the Pendulum blueprint
Firstly, you’ll need to play the DMZ game mode in Modern Warfare 2 to play this. If you haven’t already, this is a spin on Warzone 2, which sees teams tackling missions across the map, all whilst fighting each other and AI combatants. With its mission-based structure, you’ll need to follow a particular set in order to unlock the Pendulum blueprint.
If it’s your first time playing DMZ, you’ll initially be greeted with three missions to complete. These include Make Contact, Locate and Scavenge, and Al-Qatala Informant. In order to advance to unlocking the Pendulum blueprint, you’ll need to beat these before progressing to the next tier. If you’re struggling, here’s a quick rundown on how to do so:
- Make Contact:
- Use your Tac-Map and ping a contract phone: Simply open up your map and look for a mobile phone icon. Ping it by pressing up on your d-pad or the corresponding keyboard key.
- Find a contract phone and download the intel: Go to the phone you’ve pinged on the map and collect it to complete the objective.
- Locate and Scavenge:
- Find and loot 5 loot caches: You’ll just need to travel around the map and find 5 loot boxes to open or duffle bags.
- Loot 5 items into your backpack: When collecting items, ensure you stow 5 of these away in your backpack.
- Al-Qatala Informant:
- Activate 1 UAV Tower: To do this, look for a tower icon on your map, ping it and go to it. From here interact with it and complete the objective to complete this mission.
With all of these complete, you’ll unlock the next mission which is known as Storm the Stronghold. This is much tricker and is recommended you attempt this with a squad. In order to begin it, you will need to kill AI enemies and find a Stronghold Keyboard on one of their bodies. From this point, open up your map and look for a Stronghold, which looks like a tower.
With your squad, visit the Stronghold and use the keycard to enter. You’ll be met with oppressive force, so take down all the enemies in here - including some pretty tough riot shield foes. Once this has been done, loot all the bodies until you find the White Lotus Intel. Make sure you pick this up and have it stowed away and then proceed to an extraction point.
Call in the chopper and hold the area until it arrives. Once it does, board it, ensuring you are still holding the White Lotus intel in order to unlock the Pendulum blueprint in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and DMZ. Once you’ve extracted and the mission is complete, you should now have it unlocked.
What is the Pendulum blueprint in Modern Warfare 2?
The Pendulum blueprint is a variation of the TAQ-V, an extremely powerful battle rifle in Modern Warfare 2. It’s linked up with three attachments, all of which work together to make this one of the more deadly weapons you can use right now. Here are all the attachments:
- Laser: Luminate-44
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
- Magazine: 50-Round Drum
With these three simple attachments, it turn the TAQ-V into the Pendulum and makes you a force to be reckoned with. It’s a bit of a process to unlock it, but once you do, you’ll become one of the most formidable players in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2, and DMZ.
